I WALK BECAUSE… As most of you now know, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in May 2011 when I was 8 1/2 years old. I have not let it stop me and have continued to play soccer and baseball at a competitive level. I even ran track at the middle school last year and one of my relay teams placed in the state meet. Over the last few years I have spoken in front of my school and at some corporate recruiting meetings in order to get sponsors for various fundraisers. In the past few years I have also been featured on a Walk for Diabetes national brochure and the local channel 5 Show Me St Louis show in order to raise awareness of type one diabetes. I would like to ask you to join me on September 23 at Frontier Park in St. Charles and walk to find a cure. If you can’t make it on September 23, then you can sign up on my team to be a Virtual Walker. If you would like to donate to my team Kick-it for Kraabel, I would appreciate it. My goal is to raise $3000 this year. If possible, please help me find a cure. Thank you in advance for your consideration. I truly appreciate your support. Together we can turn Type One into Type None!
