Thanks for a great Christmas Season. Thanks to the music team, drama team, tech teams, custodial teams, hospitality teams, preaching/teaching teams, children/youth ministry teams, for working together to share the message of Jesus. It is a privilege to serve with many people who love God and others and are willing to give of their time and energy. It was amazing to see so many people at the Christmas Candlelight Services. Counting the early Candlelight Service at St. Jacob, there were 1092 people participating in the worship services. This figure, a record Christmas attendance, represents about 125 more people here than were here for last year’s candlelight services. Thanks for inviting families and friends!
I’m excited that last Sunday, January 3, there were 102 more people in attendance at the morning worship services than at the first Sunday of the year in 2015! The total attendance last Sunday of 472 included 90 at the 10:35 service! Keep inviting! Participation in worship is a key component of effective Christian discipleship.
Thank you for your generous giving in 2015. I haven’t received the end of year financial report, but all indications are that we had a great year. All of our apportionments were given in 2015. Thank you for your generosity toward missions and for the special parking lot repair project that was accomplished last fall.
Thank you for welcoming over 120 persons who were here for the first time in 2015. And thank you for welcoming 53 new members in 2015.
Thank you for your prayers for people in this region. Thank you for your prayers for the ministry of the Troy United Methodist Church.
On behalf of the staff and my family, thank you for your cards and gifts this Christmas season.
See you Sunday,
