A big thanks to Augusto and Vale Aniano for their ministry among us at Troy UMC! He and his family are from Uruguay, but are preparing for mission work in Puebla, Mexico, where they will be planting churches.
We first got connected to Augusto through Twitter. Several weeks back, the Aniano’s stopped by Troy UMC during the week to visit and have lunch. This past Sunday, they came through (on their way back from the East Coast) to play and sing with the Troy UMC worship team and to provide special music at a couple of the morning worship services. It was an awesome time.
As with all missions, connection and support of the church is critical. We’re grateful for the many missionaries that Troy UMC has the privilege of supporting and for the opportunity to play a small part in the lives of Aniano Family.
Missions is at the heart of kingdom living. We’re praying for Augusto and Vale today! One theologian puts it this way: “Christians must go, send or disobey”.
If you feel led, you can give to their work. Augusto recently wrote a great article called “5 Reasons Why Missionaries Raise Support For Their Work”.
Blessings on you as you begin this new journey in Mexico in two weeks! It’s great to know your family and we will be praying for you.
Thanks Troy UMC for your heart for kingdom mission!
