A huge “thank you” to all of the talented and faithful singers, instrumentalists, and tech team members who made the music on Easter such a celebration of Christ’s Resurrection. It takes so many tireless volunteers to create the worship music art, and each and every one of you are so appreciated.
Congratulations to the Jr. Praise Band who conquered chime playing in these recent weeks. They played beautifully at the contemporary services this past Sunday and will present their worship music at the traditional services on April 30th. This past year these students had two sessions of Jr. Praise Band with Tim Price, a session of choral singing, culminating with their participation in the Christmas Concert, and this most recent session of chime playing. We will start this process again in the fall for all of the interested middle-schoolers.
May 7: EHS’ Chamber Singers will give a concert at 2:00pm in the Sanctuary. This 16 member group will sing a variety of a cappella sacred and secular choral music. The concert will be an hour long and there is no charge. Invite friends!
There’s music in the sighing of a reed;
There’s music in the gushing of a rill;
There’s music in all things, if men had ears:
Their earth is but an echo of the spheres.
