Jesus taught us that the two most important things are loving God with all our hearts and loving others (Matthew 22:37-39). Journey groups are one of the best ways to mature in faith and relationships. These gatherings provide a place where we can dig deeper in the Bible and learn how to apply it to our lives, all while building deeper relationships. They consist of 6-10 adults and meet mostly in homes.
The next Journey groups will meet this fall with 9 sessions between September 11th and November 20th. It is a great place to get connected with others that you worship and serve with at Troy UMC. Signups will begin August 14th and will be available after each service and online at www.troyumc.org/journey-groups. You will have an opportunity to sign up for a group based on your availability.
“Journey groups have helped to fill the need I had to develop meaningful relationships within our church. I liked the church when I started attending in 2012, but found it hard to connect with others before and after the Sunday services. The small group format of the Journey groups allowed me to not only have a Bible Study and Christian conversation outside of church, but let me meet other members of the church in a casual environment. Because of the groups, I’ve gotten to study, serve, and socialize with some great new friends!” -Carrie Cushing
