Leaders: Dawn Lambert, dawn.burnett@gmail.com

Suggested Donation: $10.00 for study guide

Retrace the life of Moses – from his modest birth and rescue as a baby to the courts of Pharaoh, his Exodus out of Egypt, to his gazing on the Promised Land. Join Adam Hamilton as he travels from Egypt to Mt. Sinai, the Nile, the Red Sea and the wilderness exploring the sites of Moses’ life. Combining historical insights, archaeological data, and the biblical text, Hamilton explores how this reluctant prophet grew in his relationship with God, and how you can overcome your own hesitancy to act boldly for the Lord.

SISTERS in Christ – Women’s Journey Group

Leader: Deb Ellis, debsellis@sbcglobal.net, 618/581-3383

Entrusted – A Study of 2 Timothy by Beth Moore (runs September 16-October 28)

Suggested Donation: $14.00 for study guide

We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves. In this 6-session Bible study, Beth will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy. Because in this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live lives of faithfulness. All women are welcome!

Breathe – Making Room for Sabbath by Priscilla Shirer (runs November 4 – December 9)

Suggested Donation: $10.00 for Study Guide

One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God’s greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift to us today. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted, then the concept of Sabbath will change your life. All women are welcome!

Esther – It’s Tough Being a Woman by Beth Moore

The Old Testament story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern parallels for today’s overloaded and stressed woman.  Esther, while a queen, lived as an outsider in a hostile environment. In this ten-session study, women will learn strong lessons of faith, providence, and hope to equip them to live courageously “for such a time as this.” This video-based study is great for working women – all women are welcome!
