Christianity Explored (New Young Adult Group)

Clint Benesh Join this new group designed for people 18-30ish. We will kick things off this fall getting to know each other and taking the "Christianity Explored" class which is a 7-week study of the book of Mark. This is a great class for those of us in early adulthood as we establish our own faith beliefs and practices.

Invitation

David Roderick/Greg and Kim Alvis The Bible can be an intimidating book, and very few people, even those who faithfully attend service each week and have heard countless sermons throughout their life, have a grasp of the big sweeping story. How does Genesis connect to Revelation? What does Jesus have to do with the Old Testament? Why is Leviticus even in there? What is the big idea?

Then there are the growing throngs of people who haven’t grown up in the church for whom the Bible is at best confusing and at worst completely intimidating. Because of their lack of experience with Scripture, they balk at entering a church-based Bible study for fear of their ignorance being exposed.

Finding I AM by Lysa TerKeurst

Deb Ellis What is the deep cry of your heart? The ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it.

Join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Through this interactive, in-depth study we will be trading feelings of emptiness and depletion for the fullness of knowing who Jesus is like never before.

· Discover how Jesus is the key to satisfaction by learning the crucial significance behind each of His I AM statements
· Trade feelings of emptiness for the fullness of knowing who Jesus is
· Grow in biblical literacy with this exploration of the Gospel of John

This letter is considered Paul’s master piece, and outside of the Gospels, is one of the more important writings of the New Testament. We invite both men and women to prayerfully consider exploring Romans with us, and discover how his message of faith and grace can be applied to our everyday lives. Bring your Bibles and we hope to see you on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the conference room adjacent to the Choir Rehearsal Room.
