WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of the Troy United Methodist Church under the authority of a Charge Conference held on August 10, 2010, has been developing preliminary architectural plans and preliminary financing plans for a remodeling/upgrading of the present facilities, and
LET IT THEREFORE BE RESOLVED that the preliminary architectural plans be approved as presented, and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the preliminary financing plan of securing appropriate financing of the $826,610 remodeling/upgrading project be approved as presented, and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the Church Conference authorize the Board of Trustees (acting as a Building Committee) to proceed in securing detailed architectural plans, contractor bids, and the detailed financial plan for this project, and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the Church conference authorize the Board of Trustees (acting as a Building Committee) to cover the costs involved in the development of the detailed plans, and
LET IT BE FUTHER RESOLVED that the congregation be invited to immediately begin contributions/pledges toward the REBUILD THIS HOUSE project.

WHEREAS the Board of Trustees
of the Troy United Methodist Church
under the authority of a Church Conference held on March 27, 2011, has been
developing final architectural plans and final financing plans for an
expansion/upgrade of the present facilities in a project called REBUILD THIS
HOUSE,
LET IT THEREFORE BE RESOLVED
that the final architectural plans for this project be approved as presented,
and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED
that the final financial plan including the borrowing of up to $800,000 with a
five year fixed interest rate of up to 5.65%, amortized for 20 years, be
approved, and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED
that the cost of the project, including the repayment of the loan, be paid by
congregational contributions, and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED
that the Board of Trustees has authority to secure the loan and sign
appropriate contracts to immediately begin the REBUILD THIS HOUSE project, and
LET
IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that a
Capital Campaign be authorized (to be conducted at a time determined by the
Church Council), and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that if the need arises to provide the necessary
cash flow for this project, the Church Council be authorized to borrow from
designated funds currently held by Troy United Methodist Church.
