Upward Sports, the world’s largest Christian sports program for children, was created with a vision to provide the best sports experience possible for every child. Each year some 1 million people around the world play, coach, referee, or volunteer in Upward Sports leagues and camps hosted by more than 2,600 churches. Anyone – children and volunteers of any faith or no faith – can participate in Upward Sports. Specifically designed for children in K5- sixth grade, Upward Sports aim to bring out “the winner” in every child – regardless of the game’s score.

Our Upward 2011/2012 is almost here and we have exciting news!  This season we are forming teams with 7th and 8th grade students in addition to the K-4 - 6th grade teams currently in place.  We will have girls teams, boys teams or possibly a co-ed team.  This will be determined by the number of players.  This includes cheerleaders!  We are so happy to offer this positive sports opportunity to more students!  We will need additional volunteers to help manage these new teams.  If you are interested in coaching basketball or cheerleading, or officiating as a referee, contact Adrian Pratt at 618-667-6241 or email gail@troyumc.org as soon as possible.  If you are a tech person, we need your help to run the computer scoreboard.  Call Adrian Now!
